Born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, I was blessed to learn at an early age the importance of hard work and persistence. Upon earning a degree in Broadcast Journalism from West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M), I worked as a reporter and producer for several television and radio stations in Amarillo (including KQIZ FM, KBUY FM, and KAMR TV)
Eventually, I felt led to educate, so I went back to WT to get my credentials in that field.
Then I met a wonderful man who lived in Houston.
And, as they say, the rest is history.
I moved to Houston in 1997, married that wonderful man, taught, wrote, and eventually realized that my greatest joy - my passion - is helping people. My mission is to show others that living well doesn't mean having a lot of money, a big house, or all sorts of fancy gadgets. It's not falling into some sort of cookie-cutter way of thinking and doing. It only takes a few little tips and tricks to look, feel, and live one's absolute best!
I'm honored to be a member of the advisory board for Full Circle Global Mentoring (www.fullcirclementoring.org), an organization committed to the success of young people and future entrepreneurs.
I'm also a member of www.Fashions.org, a showcase for fashion professionals worldwide.
