When we launched Elegant in September, 2007, I asked some of my dear friends what the word "elegant" means to them.  This was - and still is - my favorite response: 

                            In my humble opinion, Elegant is going to a cocktail party and letting others make foolish
 
                                                     remarks about persons or events they have no real knowledge of.

 
                                                  Without saying a word, leave having been seen, like a Ming Vase.
           

                                                                        Admired from a distance, but not heard.

Our goal with this little publication is to celebrate good living.  Again, it's not the amount of money you earn or how much

stuff you own.  It's about treating yourself, and others, well.  Enjoy!
